My pre-teens are boba addicts, spending at least $40-$50 a week on at least 2 drinks at $5 each! Now that we all have to cut back our dining out expenses, their budget is more like $30 a month.

My daughter told me, “I can make boba for a month for $30, so I asked her to prove it, and she did! 🙂

Here are the items we purchased from Amazon online and the cost;

What You Need to Make Easy Boba Milk Tea

The total to order it all (free shipping, due to Amazon Prime) was $25.25, without the half and half, which was about $2.50. With this order, you’ll get around 1-2 boba drinks a week for a month. So we ended up ordering more boba in the end, making the total to just over $30.

We looked at a few recipes and modified it to include decaffeinated tea and a Truvia, instead of brown sugar to make it a bit more kid-friendly.

Recipe Notes

Easy Boba Milk Tea
  1. Everyone loves their boba a different way, so make adjustments where you see fit.  This is my Jaffer’s favorite version, Leah adds another 1/4 cup of half and half because she likes it more milky.
